Takigawa Koi Farm - 3 sai Harvest

Koibito Japan was at Takigawa Koi Farm yesterday and was able to watch one of Takigawa San's 3-sai mudponds being harvested...

This pond contained nearly 40 koi, and a special guest was found in the pond too, (see one of the videos below to see what/who this guest was!) All in all some great koi came out of this pond which is tucked away about 30 mins drive from his farm. The pond itself has it's water supplied purely by direct rainwater, and a small trickle of run off from the mountain. Takigawa san said to Koibito Japan that this year especially, koi coming from this pond are in really great condition...judge for yourselves!
